Katie first met Christin when Katie was born. They both have little to no memory of this, but it was certainly momentous for Christin's perfect only child existence to come to an abrupt end. Since Katie moved back to LA in 2020, Christin and her wife, Morgan, have been consistent supporters and adventure partners. Katie officiated Christin and Morgan's wedding in April 2022, and is so honored to have Christin by her side on her own big day.

For 31 years, Jacob has been Zac's mini-me (despite his best attempts, he's 2" shorter). Zac's youngest brother and a lawyer in the IRS Office of the Chief Counsel, Jacob lives in Washington, D.C. with his fiancee, Annie, (they're getting married 3 months after Zac and Katie!) and enjoys cooking, cycling, climbing, and shares Zac's love of the Fast & Furious film franchise. You could say that Jacob is more than a brother, he's Family.

Katie and Courtney have iconically been Feeling Pretty (oh so pretty) since the early 90s (and they danced competitively to maintain that title in 2003). Now they both work in pediatrics, Katie (an OT) working with kiddos who ‘can’t do’ things and Courtney (a BCBA) with kiddos who ‘won’t do’ things. Courtney now lives in Virginia with her husband Joe and three children: Luciana (4), Harrison (2), and Eleanor (2).

Zac's first cousin Adam is the only wedding guest who holds the distinction of having worn diapers with Zac. Growing up, Adam and Zac spent summers building tree forts, fishing for catfish, and causing general mischief in the Mississippi woods. Originally from Mississippi, Adam lives in Fort Worth, TX with his wife Katie (soon to be referred to as Katie Peeples 1) and daughters Lucy (2) and Sally (<1), where he works as a nurse anesthetist.

Katie met Ashley (and Courtney) one day during recess and immediately wanted to play horsies with them. Ashley always had a love for animals and rode horses (even her allergies couldn’t keep her away). Ashley now lives in Concord, CA with her husband, Rob, and dog, Lily. She is the most-credentialed member of the wedding party with the official letters after her name: DNP MPH APRN FNP-C.

Zac's 2nd cousin, Andy, has been Zac's closest extended family (literally!) since Zac moved to LA in 2010. Andy grew up in LA, and was always "the cool older cousin from California" to the East Coast side of the family. As frequently as possible, Zac (and now Katie) have spent weekends and holidays enjoying cocktails, soccer, and delicious home-cooked meals with Andy, his wife Renae, and their kids Kyle (17) and Keira (14) at their home in Orange County, where Andy works in sales for Cisco.

Katie was lucky enough to have been adopted by Jen and her entire family when she moved up to San Jose to start college. Jen and Katie share an intense love of musical theater, Halloween, and Disneyland. Jen is the President and CFO of Northern Glass Company in San Jose, which she owns with her husband, Rich. They have two daughters: Zoe (4) and Emma (2). In her free time, Jen can be found performing in or choreographing for local theater companies!

Zac married Rob in 2015. He also married Rob's wife, Torin (see below), at the same time. Zac often wonders if they'd have asked him to officiate their wedding if they knew he'd refer to it that way. Rob and Zac met in the South Bay in 2011, and since then Rob has introduced him to several of his favorite book series and board games, and cooked countless Sunday brunches after fun Saturday nights. Rob is a project manager in San Diego with his wife Torin (again, see below) and sons Declan (4) and Miller (2).

Roommates from coast to coast, Steph and Katie became friends in New York, where they lived together with Emily. When life brought them both back to Southern California in 2020, they once again moved in together. Their first "biddie date" was on Halloween, when they ended the night eating chicken strips together in Harlem as Elphaba and Dorothy. After going to France for pastry school and to work in a Michelin-starred restaurant, Steph is back in San Diego working as a pastry chef.

Zac met Torin around the same time that he met her now-husband, Rob. From storming the field at a USC game to going to see Justin Timberlake at the Rose Bowl, Torin's always been ready to share an adventure with Zac. In the bro-bubble of the South Bay, Torin created a safe space for Zac's sensitive side, introducing him to such cultural tentpoles as The Bachelor and Friday Night Lights. Torin is a Coke dealer in San Diego (she works in Marketing for Coca Cola), where she has the same family members mentioned in Rob's bio.

Katie met Emily the day she moved in to her Harlem apartment in New York City. Upon one of their first hang outs, Emily brought cupcakes and Katie knew this was going to be true love (thankfully Zac also brought cupcakes to THEIR first date!). Their friendship was cemented through times like when Katie made Emily eat at a B-rated sushi place (just keep smiling, Em). Emily is still living it up in New York City, where she works for The Calhoun School and earned a MS in Psychology from Columbia University.

Alex and Zac met at a Chicago bar in Hermosa Beach to watch a Bears game sometime around Thanksgiving 2011. It's possible they also crossed paths as infants, as Alex and Zac are both Chicago natives. Alex works in commercial real estate in LA and, unfortunately for him, is still a die-hard Chicago sports fan. He also loves gardening, Star Wars, and water-based activities (sailing, SCUBA diving, etc). He shares these passions with his wife Vanessa, daughter Christina (3), and son Luke (<1).

Beatrice (Bea) and Katie met over a beautiful dinner at Blockheads (RIP) in New York City, a must for 20-somethings in the City looking for some margs and free chips. Between (Bea) constantly booking musicals and touring the world, Bea and Katie shared a love for musical theater, knitting, and (more recently thanks to a pandemic) going on hikes all over Southern California. Bea continues to dazzle the stage in San Diego and is pursuing a degree in Speech Pathology.

Zac met Jonnie in April 2013, during their first-round McKinsey interviews in Chicago. While Jonnie outlasted Zac as a consultant, their friendship has stood the test of time. Originally from Australia, Jonnie lives in LA with his wife Marissa, daughter Caroline (2), son Augie (<1). Jonnie is an outstanding cook, a fan of both Aussie and American sports, and knows all the words to Frozen and Moana. There are few things that Zac and Katie enjoy more than dinner, drinks, and travel with the Richards family.
