Carmel-by-the-Sea is a 5-6 hour drive from Los Angeles, 2 hours from San Francisco, and 1 hour from San Jose. If you're flying in from out-of-state, we recommend flying into SFO or SJC and renting a car. We've also heard that you can fly into Monterey Regional Airport (MRY).
